Today's Thoughts

Whew! The blessing certificate matches the birth certificate.

Ahhh! It feels so good to not feel rotten. I'm a little wiped out from church and family time but I don't ache anymore, just a dull pain that is easy to endure after the past 2 days that I have had. I have found myself slouching from fatigue but it has been a good day.

Cool! Two families in our new neighborhood came over and introduced themselves today.

Wow! Am I spoiled. I called the midwife Friday morning (when the pain became more than I could stand and LeRoy was ready to take me to the hospital) and we spent about half an hour on the phone. She has called to check on me Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday evening and even offered several times to come and stay with me Friday night (so tempting knowing that she would do massage). She even made a trip to Burley yesterday to be with her mother who is close to dying and she still has taken the time to check on me. She truly follows the counsel of Lucy Mack Smith to "cherish one another, watch over one another, comfort one another ". I am so blessed to know her and to be at the receiving end of her kindness.

Yawwwn! I am off to bed!

How nice to get to know your neighbors. I still don't know mine very well and I have lived here for a year...very different than having all Mormons for neighbors.

I think Rilda will be twinkled. How great to have that kind of support-and someone that can give you medicine without having to see a doctor.

So not fun, to be feeling poorly when you have a newborn baby (and moving into a new house too!). :(

I'm so sorry. I had a really bad breast infection when Princess was born that wiped me out for about 3 days. It was really awful, and I feel for you so much.

I'm glad to hear you're doing better, and glad to read that the move went fairly smoothly. Hope you're feeling better and better with each day, that you're able to adjust to the new house and get arranged how you like it soon, and most of all that you're still enjoying this wonderful time with your little one!

Love and Hugs!!

I love moving and getting to know all the new people. It is really nice when they take the time to introduce themselves.

My husband is a Chiropractor and had been trying to talk me into using a mid-wife with each delivery. It definitely seems you get more one on one care.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I had a nasty case of mastitis after I had my first baby. I also thought I was just making too much milk. You're right, you just can't describe the pain.
He is such a beautiful baby!

Kimberly, you're stronger than me. I'd have either quit nursing by now or gone for the antibiotics, probably both. Good luck. I hope you get better soon! I'm so glad the blessing went good and that you made it through your move. You're just checking everything off. What will you do with all your spare time now? :)
