Beautiful Scenery. Erika's photo abilities were proven on this very cloudy, rainy day when suddenly the sun peeped through the dark clouds to light up the land in a golden hue.

Brain Exercises. We found a couple of puzzles at DI, set the card table up in the living room to be able to leave the puzzles out and everyone has taken turns helping. It can be frustrating trying to find 1 piece in 500 that goes where it needs to but also a little addicting when you finally start fitting them together. I was surprised to see each of the kids spend time on it, especially Levi. Even LeRoy sat still for a few minutes to work on it.
Reading. I've finished 4 books in the last week. All youth reads, so nothing stretching the limits of my knowledge or imagination, but it was relaxing and enjoyable to be reading what the kids are reading and discussing the books with them.
Book Thief by Markus Zusak
City of Ember and People of Sparks by Jeanne Duprau
Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix (Shadow Children Series)

I think I might try an take a holiday for the next week too. I really enjoy blogging, but I often feel like I have to make a choice between blogging and reading/scrapbooking/journaling etc. I think I might want to focus on other things for a while, so don't be surprised if I am absent from the blogging world for a while.
The picture is beautiful. The puzzle looks like a lot of fun, and the book reading makes me long for a good read. So much fun in life to do...so little time.
I really need to take a holiday and do something that doesn't have anything to do with young women, cleaning my house or work. I really want to read something so I think I'm going to read City of Ember to start with. It sounds like a good one.
I love puzzles. I wish we had room to put one up. They really are brain exercises.
I'm glad you've had some relaxation time. Books always help and in a way the puzzles might too.
I love the pictures. It's fun to see the guys working on the puzzle. The family that builds together stays together. :)
