I picked up enough to do a batch of freezer jam. This is the first time I have ever bought fruit for jam and it really made me miss (and in hindsight, appreciate) my strawberry and raspberry gardens at the other house.

Nathan is a great sous-chef!

He measured, mixed, twisted all the lids on, and licked his fingers with yummy enthusiasm.
If anyone close to me knows of free raspberry or strawberry plants or berries, please let me know. I would be happy to transplant and/or pick.

Nothing like home made!
(I miss your raspberry patch too)
Ooooo. So yummy. Real jam with real fruit. I love your little helper.
Not fair I have wanted freezer jam for so long. Anyway my mom said she can get you all the strawberry plants you want she just got 2 little swim pools and planted a bunch. and they are transplanting the razzberries and I think she has more than she can handle so when they are ready I'm sure you can have your pick of them too.
You'll have to post your freezer jam recipe! I want to make some too... or at least attempt to do it! :) Your jam looks so YUMMY! I would be like Nathan and lick my fingers afterwards! hahaha
