January In Pictures

I don't remember January.
Though I fought hibernation this winter it seems that I may have taken a mental haitus for an entire month.
Luckily, my kids aren't afraid to grab the camera or use phones to document their craziness.

Levi's 22nd Birthday

Daymia took him on a surprise adventure.


Family Lovin'

Daymia had a particularly bad week at school so we left a pan of turtle brownies and balloon messages all over her bed.


Memory Lane

Bret and Erika moved in for a week between semesters until they could get into their new apartment.  In that time Bret suggested they work on a scrapbook together.  They had bags of cards from their wedding, letters sent back and forth while Bret was on his mission, tickets from nearly every movie and date they have been on, bowling scores and much much more.


Boys

Derek, Chris, and Jacob are either building, burning or blowing stuff up.  Youtube gives them oodles of step by step instructions.  Here they were building paper dart guns with triggers built from lighter parts.  When they only worked to minor satisfaction they took them outside and burned them.  


Twister Champions

During several rounds of Twister, Levi and Nathan fought to keep their balance, hoping the other would give out first. Hyrum was too confused over left and right to stay in for very long and liked being the "spinner guy" and Daymia would usually laugh herself out of each round early.



Baby Announcement

Not really.
One of their bargain trips to DI turned into a giddy, baby-hungry, DI priced splurge.  Erika fell in love with the cuteness and Bret is addicted to shoes so naturally, these adorable minis became their first baby purchase.  I would be surprised if their children ever learn how to wear shoes properly.


School Mornings

Every morning after scriptures Justin either curls up in front of the fireplace or snuggles up on the couch to catch as much extra sleep as he can before his mad dash to shower, prep his hair, and make it to the bus in time.  Many mornings we find Hyrum cuddled up with him.

Daymia convinced Levi to go ice skating.
They had so much fun that they went a second time.

Wait a minute!

Is this really LeRoy?  The LeRoy that claims to not like our cats?  Ever since they were kicked out in November he growls and yells every time they manage to sneak in the door.  However, we have proof that he does have a soft spot for our furry felines.  I'm not sure what surprises me most in this picture.  It could be the fact that after 22 years of bragging about his 20/20 vision he can't read without glasses or maybe just seeing him read at all but I still thinks it's the cat.
