My passport came in the mail today!I have to say I was a little disappointed that they couldn't take that nasty 2x2 picture and photoshop it a little. I have labor and delivery pictures that are better than the one on my passport. My best features aren't really visible when the photographer (if they can be called that when they work at Walgreens) stands only 6 inches from my face. Oh well, on to better stuff . . .
During the last few weeks it has become part of my computer routine to check Travelocity.com in search of the perfectly priced ticket to Peru. I'm hoping that once the holidays are over prices will drop again and then . . . Ready or not Kells, here I come!
Oh, but first I have to get caught up on my immunizations. Uugh.

My passport pic is pre baby...so even if it isn't the best it is a skinnier version of myself so I'm okay with it. :)
my passport expired in June. Crazy that I had one for five years and you just got one. It's about time!;)
Yet another thing I love about the military. We are ALWAYS caught up on immunizations. We get needles like it's goin out of style!
I looked at tickets for an April/May time frame and they were only about $650. I hope they go down after this holiday nonsense!
Yeah! All this talk to come and visit me. I love it. I always think of 'While you were sleeping' and how she wants a stamp in her passport so bad. Hopefully I get a Peru stamp in everyones passports over the next two years.

YEAH! Getting a passport is half the battle. With the time it takes to get that, finding a ticket and doing immunizations is cake.
I have to renew my passport too. I think mine actually expired in 2007. My picture is pre-mission and I have changed tons. It's kind of like a driver's license picture - you aren't supposed to like it. It's supposed to be functional.

P.S. I was looking at tickets in Feb/March and they were about $750 - $800. Please let me know if you find something a lot less expensive. One of us could go on that but Ben wants to go too so that is just out of our price range.
what a great adventure to begin...I have always wanted a passport, but I have felt I have no reason...maybe I should get one anyway-hmmm?
