This weekend was the Gem State Ballroom Classic Competition. This is the 2 day event that is the most fun for all the kids on the dance teams and of course is Erika's favorite. They all seem to forget that they are competing because they are so busy making friends and 'hanging out' with kids from last year. They are also very encouraging to each other. I was so impressed when Erika, along with 2 of the other girls from the team, went over to congratulate the champions after it was announced. As Erika fell into bed Saturday night (around midnight) she had a sore throat from all the yelling and cheering.

What a fun thing for teenagers to do! I wish I had been a part of something like this when I was a teenager. Something worthwhile, wholesome, and fun!
