Missionary Week

We were able to have a non-member spend 5 days with us and we gave him a Book of Mormon when he left. It was a great experience for our family to live firsthand knowing that we were a direct example of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that what we said and did could affect someone's opinion of or interest in the church.

Having him here was good for me to observe my own family from the perspective of a non member and I realized how much of our family structure, traditions and habits are centered around the gospel. After hearing his family structure stories and background I'm so grateful for the gospel and I can't imagine living any other way.

The time I spent marking the Book of Mormon for him (using the scripture marking pattern from LeRoy's mission binder) was a wonderful experience for me. To go through the entire book in 45 minutes and read only the highlighted parts was very inspiring! At the top of the page that I used from LeRoy's mission binder it states the purpose as: to assist the truth-seeker to quickly find the value of this holy scripture.

Hopefully Jace gained more from being here than just a room to stay in!

I challenge all of you to follow the Book of Mormon scripture trail for a Sunday or FHE activity. It is a testimony builder! (just click on the picture and print it)
