He brought home a week's worth of dirt, 4 earned merit badges, and plenty of cuts, bruises and mosquito bites to prove that he has a great time.The merit badges that he earned were Environmental Science (required for Eagle), Woodworking, Woodcarving, and Leatherwork. Those all fit Derek's personality so well!

I can totally see Derek being some kind of alligator hunter or something. I'm glad he had a good time.
It's fun to see the path of scouts since we'll be there someday. I'm almost jealous that he got to go camping that long. I really miss that.
